My Many Blessings

This years Thanksgiving seems to hold so much more meaning than other years. I don't know if it is because I am older and paying more attention or if it is where I am at my life, but this year I have so many blessings.

I have a beautiful niece that experienced her first Thanksgiving. She was such a sport and definitely the center of attention. I am so thankful to have her in my life and my love for her grows every time I see her.

I feel so blessed for having such a wonderful family. I think about how close we all are, how we support one another and I just can't imagine life any other way. My brother and I grow closer as we get older and we have found a friendship that I never imagined. I always knew we would be close, but I really never thought we would be such great friends.

My parents are my peace, my heart and my inspiration. Although I am always so thankful for them and know I lucky I am, this year I am especially thankful. Everyday that goes by I realize all that they have done and continue to do day in and day out. They are never ending with their love and how much they give. Every time I need them, they are there and not just there, but truly present and so loving. This year I am so thankful to have their love and support.

As I spend the early part of today with my mom and dad, it hit me how amazing they are. My mom hugged me for about 5 minutes this morning just saying she loves me and misses me all the time. Later, I was washing the dishes and my dad came over and gave me a kiss on the forehead and said "I love you sweetheart", he smiled and walked away. Who can ask for anything more...two people so kind and wonderful. As I spend more time with them through living at home and working with my dad I grow more appreciation and love. I have two unbelievable parents and for this I am so blessed and thankful!

This year's Thanksgiving has shown me how thankful I am!
